The research group of Prof. Josef Michl is multidisciplinary scientific team comprising organic, inorganic, physical, and theoretical chemists, which combines chemical synthesis with spectroscopic and other physical measurements. Some members occasionally work at the J. Heyrovsky Institute of Physical Chemistry, with whose electrochemists and other scientists we have a close collaboration.
The current research consists of four main projects: Singlet fission, Alkylation of gold surfaces, Regular arrays of artificial molecular rotors, Porphene – a 2-dimensional polymer.
